Blood Systems is now hiring a Medical Technologist in Scottsdale, AZ. Under minimal supervision, the Medical Technologist is responsible for performing routine testing of biological specimens and reviewing test results. This position is also responsible for providing skilled technical support in the laboratory. Responsibilities include complying with all internal and external regulations, assuring quality customer service, performing high complexity testing (e.g., stem cell processing, CBC differentials, antigen screens, antibody ID, and cross match), maintaining accurate records, participating in quality control, performing routine lab testing, and providing technical support to hospital transfusion services. To become a Medical Technologist, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological, medical technology, or clinical laboratory science. You must also be certified as a Medical Technologist by a recognized certifying agency. Otherwise no experience is necessary!
