Part Time Retail Sales Associate - Hiring Now!

Our Sales Associates fulfill a vital role in our Stores including: Sales, customer service, stocking, inventory management, operating a cash register, and maintaining overal store conditions. Promotes, sells, and signs up customers for Store loyalty programs and services to increase customer relations and retention.

Sales Associates engage in the following essential functions:

• providing superior customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, suggestive selling, and assisting with special request and express orders
• ensuring accurate and efficient processing of purchases through the point of sale (POS)
• receiving and merchandising products, ensuring proper rotation and product quality, end cap and planogram execution, top stock, freezer, cooler, and backroom organization
• assisting with merchandising through sequencing, count verification, inventory adjustments, price verification, and sign maintenance
• safely operating power equipment, such as slicing equipment, tow motors, and forklifts where applicable
• adhering to the cornerstone values, philosophy, and applicable practices of Gordon Food Service

Education:

Candidates who are currently enrolled in a high school program, or have a high school diploma or general equivalent degree are preferred.

Experience:

• Retail stocking, cashiering, selling experience preferred
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills and customer service skills
• Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently or within a team environment. Must have basic mathematical aptitude.
• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Basic computer skills, cash-handling experience and experience utilizing general office equipment, POS, RF gun, and slicer preferred
