Medical Imaging Tech II

Responsible for providing imaging services as directed by the physician and/or radiologist.  Is certified/trained in at least one specialty area in addition to routine radiography.  Completes assigned responsibilities within his/her certification with little or no direct supervision.  Applies ionizing radiation ultrasound for radiographic diagnosis. Participates in performance improvement activities and quality monitoring for the department.

 

v      Graduate of a program for Radiologic Technologist.

v      ARRT registered or eligible.

v      Iowa licensure (Permit to Practice)

v      Must be CT registered in addition to routine radiography.

v      Previous hospital experience preferred.

v      Current BCLS verification.

v      Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

v      High degree of empathetic listening, tact and kindness toward others.

v      Ability to communicate well verbally.  Must work effectively as a member of a team.

v      Strong computer knowledge

v      Technical skills associated with duties listed within this job description.  Must be competent in all assigned areas.

v      Willingness to complete further radiographic education or certification as required by the department.

v      Must demonstrate leadership and effective communication skills as required for this position.
