Job Description
Job Summary:
Provides telemetry monitoring in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Responsibilities:
- Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Monitors, reads, interprets and reports telemetry readings. Recognizes and corrects for artifacts.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Provides patient and caregivers/family members with education concerning the patient's plan of care, medications, activity restrictions and disease prevention.
Qualifications
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

Required Credential(s):
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Department of Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date, or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) licensure required.
- One or more of the following:
- Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. ACLS replaces the BLS.
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required
- ASN or BSN preferred
