Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides telemetry monitoring in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
  • Monitors, reads, interprets and reports telemetry readings. Recognizes and corrects for artifacts.
  • Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
  • Provides patient and caregivers/family members with education concerning the patient's plan of care, medications, activity restrictions and disease prevention.


Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Department of Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date, or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) licensure required.
    • One or more of the following:
      • Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. ACLS replaces the BLS.
      • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 

Education:

  • Diploma 
    • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required
    • ASN or BSN preferred
