Summary of Job: Provides direction & leadership for a crew of snowmakers while insuring safe and efficient production of snow. Coordinates & problem solve with Supervisor, Team leads and other Crew Leads in daily snowmaking operation. Monitors all snowmaking activities during that shift while sharing all appropraite information with supervisor and other crew leads.
Essential Job Responsibilties:
- Responsible for the personal safety of fellow employees & guests.
- Institute a safe, efficient & maximum snow production.
- Recognize and correct unsafe equpment and/ or working conditions.
- Assist in implementing the snowmaking training program.
- Maintain & repair related equipment under guidance of supervisor, forman & service reps.
- Assist & direct crew in load, transport, set-up snowmaking equipment on hill in proper locations.
- Monitor the snowmaking stats & data on the computerized monitoring system.
Job Requirements:
- Valid Drivers License
- Snowmobile / ATV experience perferred
- Previous snowmaking experience
- Must be able to lift up to 75lbs
- Must be able to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level or higher
- Fluent in English
- Ability to work with various hand and power tools
- Comfortable working around heavy equipment
- Ability to work outside in adverse conditions
- Adhear to Departmental and Vail Resorts safety standards
