Lift Operators at Mt. Brighton are responsible for the safety of our guests while they are loading, riding, and unloading our chairlifts. Mt. Brighton strives to provide exceptional experiences to all of our guests through our front line guest service. Our focus is exceptional guest service, safety awareness, and efficient uphill transportation. Mt. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Executes the safe, efficient and courteous loading and unloading of guests.
  • Greets every guest as they enter the lift line.  Advises and assists guests to make a positive impression and enhance the guest experience.
  • Operates machinery; execute daily operations by opening and/or closing lifts; may scan tickets.
  • Inspects records and reports the condition of all lift machinery.  
  • Provide documentation on daily inspection logs.
  • Maintains proper and safe levels of snow through the entire lift station area.
  • Responsible for effective and orderly traffic flow on lifts.
  • May perform minor maintenance.
  • Opens and closes lifts as assigned. Takes responsibility of lift as defined by Lift Operations Team Lead.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age – Required
  • Must be willing to work holidays and weekends – Required
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the position including: stand outside in inclement weather for long periods of time; shovel and rake snow surfaces
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Professionalism and strong guest service skills, attention to detail and timeliness
  • Ability to work well with others while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Must be able to work independently or in a small team to accomplish daily tasks
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form (in English) including communicating on the mountain radio
  • High School graduation or equivalent – Preferred
