Alterations Associate Part Time: Bloomingdale's Aventura Mall, FL

Overview:

Bloomingdales is seeking an experienced Men's Tailor/Alterations expert to join our store. As a Bloomingdale's Men's Tailor/Alterations associate, you will play a key role in the final step of the customers purchase by ensuring proper fitting. As the Men's Tailor/Alterations Expert you will be responsible for working on Men's garments including suits, jackets and pants.

Key Accountabilities

• Accurately marking garments to be altered
• Accurately marking garments to be altered
• Ability to follow markings of co-workers and accurately tailor the merchandise
• Ability to operate alterations equipment (pressers, sewing machines, etc.) appropriately and safely.
• Complete workload in a timely manner as directed by supervisor
• Understand and follow department/store safety initiatives
• Understanding fabrics/styling and determine which garments can/cannot be altered

Skills Summary:

• Ability to determine customers’ needs through friendly interactive dialogue
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple requests and priorities
• Ability to collaborate with other associates and managers to provide the best Customer Experience
• 5 years’ experience in Tailoring, Men's wear experience is preferred
• Full knowledge of the complete alterations life-cycle
• Expertise in sewing by hand
• Proficient in using a sewing machine
