About this job

We are actively seeking individuals for a food service position.

This position is responsible for preparing, slicing, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising all kitchen and food. They work with cooking and deli equipment.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes.

Must be able to follow instructions as well as have all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.

Job description:

Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons to understand service requirements.

Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc. Measuring ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking. Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.

Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc.

Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces.

Be willing to learn and take on new responsibilities and if desired, to grow with the company. We are a group that makes a personal investment in the advancement of our staff

Labeling and stocking all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible

Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure

Very good physical condition and endurance

Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines

Training from a culinary school will be a plus.

FoodSafe certified not a necessity but an asset and we would prefer your willingness to take on this new knowledge.

Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
