EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - PART TIME - TALLMADGE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
$14.00 TO $18.00 per hour. Paid time off and flexible hours.
PrideStaff is conducting a search on behalf of the Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce for an Executive Director. This is a part-time position, working 20-25 hours a week.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Executive Director is responsible for accomplishing Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce objectives as directed by the Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce Trustees. The Executive Director is responsible for maintaining and growing Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce membership, improving existing programs and developing new programs. The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing all events approved by the Trustees of the Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce. The Executive Director is a key representative and advocate for business owners and employers in the community and will liaison with the Tallmadge City Government as needed. The Executive Director is ultimately responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the Tallmadge Chamber office and staff.
REPORTS TO
The Executive Director reports directly to the President of the Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce.

The Executive Director reports directly to the President of the Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet new Chamber Membership growth goals set by the Trustees
- Retain existing membership by establishing effective relationships with current Chamber Members
- Must be highly visible and accessible to the business community
- Work with the City of Tallmadge as needed to help sign up new businesses moving to Tallmadge
- Work with all Chamber Committees to offer support as needed
- Develop and maintain an effective communications program responsive to the needs of the membership
- Create and maintain an ongoing marketing strategy that includes advertising, social media, chamber website, visits to business and phone calls to businesses
- Represent the Chamber of Commerce at events and handle public speaking requests as required
- Works cooperatively with units of local government and other local partner agencies to achieve chamber goals
- Assist in coordinating committees and events
- Has regular contact with the Trustees and Committees on policy and program matters and other issues as appropriate
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Trustees, employees, committee members, general members, governmental units, civic groups and the general public
- Provide all necessary information and materials to inform the Trustees, elected officials, partner agencies and membership on appropriate issues
- Five years of experience at a Chamber of Commerce, Non-Profit Board Participation, Outside Sales, or Marketing/Advertising required
- Demonstrated experience in multi-tasking, special events, sales, customer service or client relationships
- Involvement with cross-functional team collaboration and continuous improvement activities
Required:
- Ability to work effectively with multiple Trustees, Committee Leaders, and General Membership
- Friendly and engaging personality, Inclusive and comfortable with all people
- Positive outlook and focused on continuous improvement in all aspects of the Chamber of Commerce
- A self-starter who wants to help grow the Chamber membership and its programs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong data analysis skills and a key eye for business improvement opportunities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work days, evenings and weekends as needed
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or Advertising
- Non-profit Board experience, or Community Volunteerism
- Experience in local government interactions
- Outside sales experience
