About this job
Local manufacturing partner in Asheville needs a Wiring Technician with previous wiring/soldering experience. The position pays $13.50/hr. The position is temporary to permanent hire possible. Monday-Friday, 1st shift.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Assemble cables and electronic components per blueprints and specifications.
Involves using a variety of specialized tools for measuring, soldering to IPC standards, and safe handling of ESD sensitive components.
Basic Skills/Qualifications:
- Ability to read and accurately interpret blueprints and schematics
- Follow systematic instructions and pay attention to detail
- Excellent documentation, prioritization, and organization skills
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
- Willingness and ability to work varied schedules, overtime, and holidays - conveyed on short notice
- Ability to solder and crimp connections
- Team oriented
WIRING TECHNICIAN:
Strong soldering skills, ability to read both wiring schematics and wiring diagrams, knowledge of building coax cables etc.
Education/Experience:
- Previous soldering experience preferred
- Previous experience in assembly of multi-conductor cables to multi-pin connectors highly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass pre-screening process: reference checks, drug test, & background check
