About this job
Our client provides specialized expertise and design for geotechnical, tunnel, and dam engineering projects across the U.S and worldwide. They are an employee owned company with over 300 employees. They are currently seeking a Full Time Geotechnical Engineer to join their Tunnel Engineering Services Group. This position will work in a project team environment to develop geotechnical plans for underground infrastructure.
Primary geotechnical responsibilities will include:
- Defining the subsurface investigation and testing programs
- Scheduling and coordination; performing geotechnical engineering analysis
- Preparing logs and writing engineering reports
- Attending meetings and field observations during construction
- Some overnight travel should be expected**
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with focus on Infrastructure, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering
- 1-3 years of experience
- Familiarity with Lab testing
- Experience riding the back of a drill rig
- EIT is a major plus
- Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and data management computer programs.
- Physical ability to negotiate construction sites, enter trenches, climb ladders and work outside.
- Must be eligible to apply for a Government Clearance
