As Night Supervisor, you will:

  • Assist in overseeing and managing the various areas of the property to ensure efficient operations and impeccable guest care, helping to achieve profit goals. Attend to guest and group special needs and solve tricky problems with confident graciousness.
  • Skillfully assist in managing the nightly operations of hotel staff by creating an environment where motivated people want to join, learn, do their best, and advance. Lead a diverse team by modeling the way, by empowering, and coaching throughout the employment lifecycle.    
  • Act as Manager on Duty, when duty calls.
  • Additional duties include but not limited to:
    • Assisting security, when needed, to seek out and respond to security problems, issues, concerns, and emergency situations to protect the assets and ensure the safety and security of guests and associates.
    • Respond without hesitation to emergency alarms and calls for help, determine course of action, and notify appropriate authorities when warranted.
    • Patrol property areas, including parking lots, noting unusual circumstances or security concerns, and taking appropriate action.
    • Assist in overseeing in other departments when and where needed.

Fundamentals

A high school education or equivalent is required, with one to two years’ supervisory experience in hospitality or other customer-related position. You must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with a second language helpful.  The ability to access, retrieve and leverage info from the hotel property management system is expected. You must also be able to handle cash or credit transactions and have Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency. General office equipment and cash register operation knowledge is expected.
