Your genuine warmth and helpful nature enable you to rise to every occasion, from cheerfully greeting the excited family on a vacation adventure to handling the travel-weary guest’s request with prompt courtesy. As a Front Desk Agent with Interstate, you’ll have many opportunities to brighten someone’s day.

As a Front Desk Agent, you will

  • Provide that critical first impression to our guests and have a natural passion for delivering exceptional service. 
  • Welcome and serve guests in person and over the phone everyday. 
  • Enjoy solving problems, be comfortable using a computer to check guests in and out, and handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and confidently. 

To act as a host/hostess to the concierge lounge by setting up and breaking down food and beverages.  To greet and assist guests with all their requests in a prompt and courteous manner.  To act as a hotel ambassador by providing special assistance and information about the hotel and local area attractions to guests.  Assisting with all VIP’s and Hilton Hhonors members.  The concierge plays an important role in exceeding our guests’ expectations.

You will also assist on the Concierge level:

  • Greet guests immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome.  Exhibit gracious professionalism by standing and using a clear and positive speaking voice when dealing with guests..
  • Listen to, understand guest and ask probing questions when dealing with guest requests.  Respond with appropriate action and provide accurate information such as operational hours, directions to attractions, advice on restaurants, bars, nightclubs, theatre shows, transportation needs and any further questions or guest needs.  The concierge always has the answer to all questions.
  • Present food and beverage offerings in a timely and highly visual manner.  Be prompt with set up and adhere to hours of offerings.  Present all food and beverage in a visual manner using floral and theme-oriented props.  Refresh food and beverage proactively so not to inconvenience a guest.  Maintain all par levels for china, glass and silverware.  Inventory food and beverage daily and order effectively through purchasing department.
  • Promptly answer the telephone using positive and clear communication also utilizing appropriate scripting.  Input traces, messages and notes in computer system to ensure all guest requests are tended to.  Follow up by retrieving traces, messages and notes from computer system and communicating to guest content.
  • Make arrangements for amenities such as fruit and gift baskets, flowers, Champagne and other various items to be placed in the guestrooms.  Follow up with future requests and ensure that rooms are blocked and amenities are delivered at specified times.  Review daily arrivals reports to ensure VIP’s and Hilton Hhonors members have been marked, blocked and a hand written note or amenity is placed in the guestroom.

Fundamentals To be successful in this role, you must have excellent English communication skills and be able to read, write and speak fluently.  You will regularly use a computer and different software.  This position requires continuous movement, and occasionally, you will have to lift or move up to 20 pounds.
