Responsibilities: Responsible to develop, manage, maximize and implement physician referral strategies for the organization to achieve maximum yield and department objectives. Analyzes data to develop tactical relationship building strategies in a highly competitive market, and makes recommendations to senior level executives (section heads, division chairs and medical directors) regarding opportunities to maximize future physician referrals. Is responsible for achieving institutional targets and departmental objectives. Responsible to manage cross site activities as assigned. Manages the budget and activities of local site activities. Travels to practices to evaluate opportunities, build relationships, address client concerns and evaluate referral relations representatives' performance. Meets with senior level executives (medical and administrative directors). Provides direct supervision and leadership to the referring physician office and supporting allied health staff. Performs duties independently and initiates judgment in handling of a variety of management issues. Position requires approximately 10-30% travel.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree is required for this position.

* Prefer Master's degree in healthcare, marketing, public relations, communications, customer relations or business related field with a minimum of two years health care management experience with strong leadership, team building and problem-solving skills as well as demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines (i.e. physician, administrative, supervisory, and allied health staff).

* A Bachelor's degree with a combination of directly related experience and education may be considered.

* Requires broad experience in multiple sub-specialty clinical areas demonstrating an understanding of health care practices and reimbursement issues.

* Experience conducting market research and analyzing data.

* Experience working with senior level management and physicians.

* Experience working with medical patient issues.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills.

* Knowledge of continuous quality improvement/total quality management tools.

Additional Qualifications:

* Prefer candidate who has experience in sales and working with external clients.

* Experience in using data analysis to drive strategic planning.

* Demonstrated ability to successfully build relationships to execute a strategy.

* Must have demonstrated competencies in leadership, management, team development, operations, communication, creativity and flexibility to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3,315.20, based on a full-time position.

Hours/Pay Period: 80
