MENTOR Oregon is seeking Life Skills Trainers to provide training, assistance and supervision to children with developmental disabilities in their own homes and out in the community. We have a variety of schedules available ranging from part-time to full-time with clients in the Portland-Metro area. The primary hours for these positions fall in the afternoons, evenings, and on the weekends. With many options available, this just may be the perfect career choice for you.
The ideal candidate for these positions possesses the ability to work seamlessly with both our clients and their families with a focus on excellent customer service. These candidates also possess the ability to work independently and fill out documentation accurately as required.
Our Life Skills Trainers receive extensive paid training including CPR First Aid, Oregon Intervention System (OIS), Medication Administration, Family Communication training and much more. A variety of our trainings are provided by our Behavioral Specialists, giving our Life Skills Trainers an excellent opportunity to learn from experts in the field.
