Sunrise Senior Living has an immediate need for a highly skilled Senior Information Security Analyst at its corporate headquarters located in McLean, VA (Tysons Corner).
RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

The Senior Information Security Analyst reports to the Director, IT Operations and is responsible for:

  • Enhancing the Company’s information security program, and managing information security operations and maintenance activities, to maximize the security of our business information including electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI);
  • Designs and implements emergency/incident response processes, log monitoring processes and analysis, and vulnerability scanning, remediation risk analysis, and oversight activities, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of Corporate Privacy, Legal and Compliance;
  • Ensuring and monitoring compliance with the Company’s IT security policies, HIPAA Security Rule, and applicable laws and regulations, and
  • Investigates and reports on security incidents. The Senior Information Security Analyst also has responsibilities in the area of (1) Information Management, (2) internal and external audits, surveys and assessments, (3) security project implementation, including but not limited to DLP, SIEM, Vulnerability Scanning Solution, (4) technical design, (5) security strategic planning and architecture roadmap, and (6) development and implementation of HIPAA Security and IT risk assessment strategy.
Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Five+ years of progressive experience in networking and information security, including experience with Internet technology and security issues.
  • Experience should include security policy development, metrics capture and analysis, security education, application vulnerability assessments, risk analysis and IT security compliance audits, and project management.
  • Experience with the NIST Security Program Framework
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience in a CSIRT
  • Experience with Health information, ePHI
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Solid understanding of networks
  • Solid understanding of Information Security
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure vulnerabilities and countermeasures.
  • Knowledge/experience with LAN, WAN, VPN, routers, firewalls, servers, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP and workstation administration.
  • Knowledge/experience with Windows, Active Directory, group policy, DNS, encryption, patch management, anti-virus, system configuration management.
  • Knowledge/experience with data security tools such as DLP (Data Loss Prevention), content management and SIEM and Log Management.
  • Experience performing assessments of security controls, identify weaknesses, and track remediation activities in Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
  • Work with technical teams to mitigate security control deficiencies for assigned IT systems.
  • Ability to provide continuous monitoring support for information systems.
  • Identify and be able to react to network attacks, viruses, malware, SPAM, phishing and other intrusions.
  • Ability to conduct system security vulnerability and threat analyses, gathering of intelligence, risk assessments and mitigation planning and implementation.
  • Knowledge of information security standards, rules and regulations related to information security and data confidentiality (e.g. ISO, HIPAA, HITECH, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Education:

  • BA or BS in Information Security, Information Assurance, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Advanced degree desirable. CISSP, CISA, or other security certifications
Preferred:

  • Project Management experience
  • Experience in a CSIRT
  • Experience in healthcare, including HIPAA Security Rule and HITECH compliance
