Job Summary: The Finance Supervisor will provide support and hold a high level of responsibility within the Finance Department, including AP/AR, payroll and the Finance team.

Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Maintains financial security by following internal accounting procedures
  • Supports administrative tasks and projects relative to the Finance Department
  • Maintain multiple credit cards, reconcile and enter purchases in accounting system
  • Organize historical records by scanning and filing documents
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Develop and maintain reports and AP files and provide timely and accurate payment processing by processing accounts payable weekly
  • Input credit and debits to the accounting system in support of the payables work
  • Input general ledger entries for account changes
  • Audit general ledger entries for accuracy and re-class as needed
  • Develop and maintain reports and files on asset and liability account balances
  • Have complete payroll processing knowledge to solely process and finalize payroll when Manager is not available.
  • Obtaining cost effective measures for office expenses
  • Analyze spending and produce trend reports
  • Providing security access to team members as needed and confirm access is required
  • Audit credit cards for suspicious activities and solve any credit card issues
  • Getting approval from appropriate Management on company credit card charges
  • Analyze Chargeback data for variances and provide trend analysis for variances
  • Schedule and conduct internal audit of Pay Pal and Chargeback processes
  • Address Pay Pal and Chargeback teams related issues and escalate as needed
  • Analyze daily work reports for Pay Pal and Chargeback teams
  • Resolving payroll related questions by providing proper documentation and explanation
  • Audit expense reports and obtain proper approvals
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Finance to assist with special projects as assigned – such as; assisting with training new employees on areas of accounting/finance necessary for their position
  • Undertaking other duties not specifically stated, which from time to time are necessary, without altering the nature or level of responsibility
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of GAAP (General Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Must stay current with processes and procedures related to the Finance department
  • Good data entry and typing skills

Education and Experience:
  • B.S. Accounting/Finance preferred or experience in related field
  • Knowledge of GAAP (General Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounting or accounts payable desk
  • Must be experienced with Microsoft Office Suite and intermediate to advanced Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar accounting programs and third-party payroll
