The DISH product management team is responsible for the creation and introduction of DISH’s cutting-edge technology, including these products and more. We are looking for dynamic, intelligent, high-energy individuals to join the product team, people who will help shape our mission to offer the most innovative products with the best consumer experience.

A successful Broadband Product Specialist will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Strong initiative for anticipating and meeting business and customer demands. This requires a willingness to roll up your sleeves and pitch in to get stuff done wherever and whenever needed
  • Ability to learn quickly, prioritize and work under pressure, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment and demonstrate a sense of urgency.
  • General understanding of broadband trends, emerging technology, provider offerings, and relationships and good understanding of LAN and WAN Networking concepts, routing protocols, TCP/IP and VoIP.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and ability to solve ambiguous problems and deliver results in spite of challenges.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, presentation, organizational and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles as well as high degree of technical acumen and ability to synthesize new technology concepts at a fast pace.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures or government policy.

The Broadband Product Specialist is responsible for assisting with product definition, competitive intelligence, marketing, operational implementation, forecasting, and profit and loss statements for the company’s broadband products.  The individual in this role is also responsible for driving value and growth with emphasis on building subscriber activations, reducing churn and implementing product enhancements.

 

The Broadband Product Specialist will serve as the internal and external champion for Alliance Product Management, comprised of dishNET Wireline, dishNET Satellite, Telco Partners, and 3rd Party Providers. This person will assist in managing internal and external relationships to deliver product roadmap requirements. Responsibilities include identifying and analyzing industry and market trends, analyzing and synthesizing internal data and processes, and cross functional coordination within Dish. The person in this position must be able to communicate with all areas of the company as well as with external partners and vendors. 

 

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

  • Research, interpret and analyze current market and industry trends and competitive environment for the purpose of defining portfolio of products and services and outlining a clear roadmap.
  • Support roadmap recommendations to management including the launch of new features, products and services.
  • Execute Alliance Management strategy for customer acquisition including marketing to new and existing subscribers.
  • Assist in the planning, development, design, and implementation of assigned program or product launch across development teams (IT, operations, retention, sales, marketing, customer support and fulfillment).
  • Support vendor relationships to ensure road map requirements are met.
  • Monitor product performance and stability and outline corrective measures as needed.
  • Document and optimize operations and workflows in order to improve efficiency and customer experience
  • Analyze and synthesize business and operational data into actionable items
