Responsibilities:

The Finance Director M&A and Business Support role plays a critical role in Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) long term growth strategy. Individual will have responsibility for all M&A and Portfolio analysis as well as providing strategic decision support, operational financial guidance, and value added analysis for key Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) leaders. The position will report to the Executive Director Finance BSRO and will work extensively with the retail senior leadership team, field operations, and HQ Finance team. Specific scope of responsibility includes 4-6 direct reports in support of 2,200 company owned retail stores across the U.S.

Responsibilities
* M&A and Portfolio Management:
o Analyzing and Evaluating all Strategic Acquisition opportunities for BSRO including partnering with potential candidates to obtain financials, development of all modeling including identifying all potential synergies and dis-synergies and total expense and capital outlays, recommending purchase price to maximize return and achieve financial hurdles, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and executive material creation.
o Evaluating the financial returns and viability of any Real Estate portfolio decisions including New Store Pro Formas, Store Closures and Relocations, Lease vs Buy analysis and Store Acquisitions ensuring expected returns and hurdle rates are achieved.
o Budgeting, forecasting and managing all Real Estate costs including Rent Payments and Income, Maintenance and Refresh Expense and Capital, Utilities expenses, Real Estate Taxes and Corporate Office Expenses.
o Creating materials and presenting to BSRO and BSAM leadership on financial implications of the many portfolio decisions that arise within the business

o Evaluating capital investments such as equipment or store upgrades.

* Provide key strategic and financial partnership to four key business functions across BSRO:

o Merchandising and Marketing:

* Partner with Service and Tire Merchant teams to analyze trends across their businesses and provide accurate forecasts
* Develop, implement and test countermeasures to react to trends and improve performance
* Measure results of pricing and marketing initiatives to maximize profitability and market share growth

o B2B/Strategic Growth:
* Analyze and understand trends in the B2B business
* Evaluate financial impact of customer acquisition and retention strategies
* Evaluate viability of test concepts and partner to develop outside the box growth opportunities for BSRO

o Labor:
* Partner with newly formed labor team to build a labor model for BSRO that drives sales and maximizes productivity, is easy to understand and provides clarity of expectations for all field leaders
* Develop reporting and visibility and align on consistent rhythms for managing payroll effectively across the organization
* Partner with leaders on changing and improving operating model across BSRO

o Supply Chain/Procurement:
* Provide financial support to our leaders in an effort to maximize profitability and improve our Cash Conversion Cycle by ensuring we have the right inventory of Tires and Parts in our stores
* Partner with procurement to analyze any large contracts to ensure we have great terms and that the contracts make financial sense
* Partner with the supply chain leaders to create accurate sell in, sell out, and inventory forecasts that feed financial forecasts and support manufacturing

* Being fiscally responsible for the performance results
* Securing and maintaining a strong and consistent controls environment
* Partnering with senior business leaders to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives
* Providing a strategic and proactive financial influence on the Division Leader
* Interacting extensively with BSRO leadership team and becoming a trusted advisor to the business
* Effectively leading and influencing indirect reports
* Involvement and ownership in enterprise special projects to support ongoing personal development
* Thinking broadly about the organization and determining the tasks/responsibilities necessary to provide the appropriate support
* Influencing fact-based operating and financial decisions
* Identify financial opportunities using trend and root cause analysis

Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance / MBA Preferred
* Strong cross-functional leadership, support and communication skills
* 7+ years finance and operating leadership experience
* Experience managing direct reports
* Extensive experience in operational finance and profitability/ productivity analysis
* Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills
* Strong working knowledge of retail required, previous retail a plus
