Security Systems Technical Support Agent - Full-time / Part-time

Aerotek is searching to hire Security System Tech Support Specialists (CCTV + IP + Access Control) to join a client company in Gainesville, VA. Aerotek's client is one of the leading electronic security system providers in the nation and their national service center is located in Gainesville.

Job Description:

• Answer phone calls from technicians who are arriving on site, or leaving site, in response to a service ticket dispatch to repair a malfunctioning video security system.
• Record information as received from technicians who have responded to service tickets.
• Remotely troubleshoot software in cameras and security panels.
• Receive hardware from escalated issues and manually troubleshoot devices.
• Test network connectivity and signals.
• Diagnose proper course of action for closing service tickets when technicians need more time on site, request parts, or require additional assistance.
• Process research items as delegated by team leaders.

Qualifications:

• Ability to effectively communicate technical instructions and procedures to subcontracted technicians.
• Able to quickly and accurately transcribe information from phone calls into database for tracking purposes.
• Alarm industry experience preferred.
• Experience dealing with electronics; building computers, putting them together and taking them apart would be a great fit for this role as it is true tech support.
• Experience handling service calls from Technicians would be a plus.
• Fraud conversions would be a plus.
