Application Developer Lead - Full-time / Part-time

Position Overview

This position can be located in Philadelphia (Eastwick), Cleveland, OH, Pittsburgh, PA, or Jacksonville, FL. This position is responsible for the creation and implementation of software solutions to meet the application and business requirements of the Consumer Lending Technology group. This position will be responsible for complex projects and higher levels of responsibility and autonomy, including meeting with managers and coaching/mentoring other developers. Technologies used will be IIB and Informatica in a Java framework.

Essential Functions/Specific Duties:

• Translate business and functional documents into programs/applications to meet business requirements
• Successfully implement and maintain technology projects
• Ensure compliance with all software and servicing, originations and infrastructure standards
• Lead the support, integration, administration, and enhancement across multiple projects
• Build, test, and maintain internally developed applications; perform unit testing of the changes made
• Participate in code reviews with peers
• Work directly with other team members in technology and key business users on projects
• Ask clarifying questions to insure complete understand of the business requirements and how your code has met those business requirements
• Research and design solutions to meet the business requirement on simple to complex projects
• Perform coding and unit testing
• Prepare appropriate documentation around the coding changes, unit tests performed and results
• Prepare instructional documentation and update user documentation to reflect new modification.
• Help define testing plans with team

Qualifications/Job Requirements:

• Experience as developer delivering software in formal enterprise environment
• Experience leading and coaching other developers
• Strong middle to back-end development experience
• MVC and SQL experience.
• Basic understanding of SOA and web based services (SOAP or REST)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Inquisitive, curious, highly self-motivated to learn new technology/business concepts
• Expert problem solving skills

• Leads in the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.
• Directs business assessment and requirements analysis processes, for the development of hardware and operating systems .

Required Education and Experience


Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
