About this job
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a qualified Machine Operator for our client located in Coppell. This position requires an employee to setup, maintain, operate, and troubleshoot a variety of different manufacturing equipment.
Principal Duties:
Read job orders.
Identify products and materials required from the job orders.
Setup production lines efficiently and in a timely manner.
Operate equipment.
Inspect product quality.
Maintain machine speed to level required.
Keep accurate reports.
Oversee and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
Work in team environment.
Any other job duties assigned.
Must be able to train on 1st shift and work on 2nd shift
Skills:
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide simple numbers (100 s and 1000 s). Perform these operations using American and Metric units of measurement.
Must possess mechanical aptitude sufficient to setup and troubleshoot machine problems involving variables in standardized situations.
Good verbal and written English skills.
Must be able to work with limited supervision and in a team environment.
Must have knowledge in the use of various hand tools, including tape measure, gear calculations tables, wrenches, etc.
Must be able to read and write in English.
Requirements:
2+ years of machine operation / setup experience with hand tools
High School Diploma or GED
Able to work flexible hours
Able to stand for long periods on concrete floors, climb, reach, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
Able to regularly lift/move up to 100 lbs.
Drug screen and background check are required
Working Conditions:
No smoking allowed on company property.
Production environment. Ear Protection and steel toe shoes are required at all times.
Long sleeve shirts, loose clothing, and jewelry of any kind are not allowed.
Salary: $15/hour
