About this job
Currently in need of a sterile processing technician. This technician will be required to work both independently and with a team. This Tech will be responsible for the accurate and timely cleaning, inspection, assembly, enclosure and sterilization of surgical, diagnostic and procedural instrumentation and equipment to meet customer and patient needs. They run very lean so are expecting person to get jobs done in a timely manner.
Very fast paced environment Techs will be on their feet for most of the day. This location specializes in a lot of specialty surgeries, and mostly orthopedics. Will be working very closely in a team environment, and with 5 to 6 other people. This team is very easy to get along with. The Sterile Processing Techs work closely with the operating room staff, so will be taking elevator up and down from OR to SPD area. Will be given new scrubs to wear everyday. Need to bring clean pair of shoes to keep there while they work there. Very clean and sterile work area. Will be working with a team of 5. They will be working in all the areas of the Sterile Processing Department, and this will include case cart organizing, delivery and retrieval of tools and instruments to and from the ORs, and tool wrapping and stocking tools
