About this job
Age Requirements: Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
Job Description
So many things in our lives are controlled, operated, or run by complicated electrical and communications systems on equally complicated equipment. Army National Guard equipment is no different. It takes a specialized team of highly trained professionals to make sure it stays in top working order.
As members of the Guard's weapons maintenance team, Avenger System Repairers are primarily responsible for maintenance on the Avenger System, a lightweight, highly mobile and transportable surface-to-air missile/gun weapon system that provides short-range air defense protection against air and land attacks.
Use your Avenger System Repairers experience as a springboard to advance your civilian career. With your training, you'll be qualified to work at firms that design, build and test weapons systems for the military.
Earn while you learn
Instead of paying to learn these skills, get paid to train. In the Army National Guard, you will learn these valuable job skills while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance.
Job training for Avenger System Repairers consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and 18 weeks of Advanced Individual Training and on-the-job instruction. Training consists of both classroom and field work.
Requires military enlistment. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications. Actual MOS assignment may depend on MOS availability. Benefits subject to change.
