Firestone Building Products is excited to announce its move of the U.S. headquarters to Nashville, Tennessee in 2017. This position will require relocation at that time.

Position Summary:

Firestone Building Products is hiring a National Technical Manager for Building Envelope solutions. This position is responsible for maintaining, creating and managing technical literature, conducting training and determining warrantable applications for the SkyScape, Enverge and SunWave product lines. The National Technical Manager develops, communicates and executes strategies consistent with FSBPs objective to deliver best in class service through customer focus and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Update Technical Information Sheets, Application and Design Guides, Details and other technical documents in response to changing market conditions, codes or regulatory updates, product changes or periodic reviews
  • Present technical trainings on requirements for warranted installations to internal teammates, sales reps and contractors
  • Determine warrantable applications of product lines - evaluate warrantability
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the relevant industries, including competitors, organizations, tools and resources to drive share growth
  • Work with R&D and Marketing to determine gaps in product offerings and contribute to the development process
  • Act as subject matter expert on product lines and respond to sales reps and regional technical questions
  • Support new product launches and issue Technical Bulletins as needed
  • Review Marketing literature and website content updates for technical accuracy and clarity
  • Understand FSBP strategic direction and align team activities and metrics to execute and deliver against them
  • Create and foster a culture of BOSS-centric, action-oriented, collaborative teammates
  • Participate in corporate initiatives as assigned to enhance company capabilities, performance, and efficiency
  • Collaborate effectively across functional departments (including Marketing, Sales, Quality, R&D, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Field Services) to implement process and system improvements that improve customer satisfaction, simplify work processes and drive breakthrough growth
Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in Engineering or related field and 5 years relevant experience
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to maintain positive relationships with customers and teammates
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Vault, CRM and Adobe software preferred
  • High level of intellectual and emotional intelligence required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in process development, implementation and improvement
