Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a 1 st shift Material Handler / Billing Clerk in East Peoria, IL! Typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, 6:30am -- 3:00pm; hours may vary based on business demand.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

+ Ship, receive, store, deliver, and package Prime Product Machines, modular units or components, parts, and engines.

+ Coordinate with team members the logistic handling of material at the site, physically handling and/or using material handling equipment (e.g. various fork trucks and other material handling equipment, including medium and large wheel loaders with forks) for moving the material.

+ Count, weigh, or measure material that is received, stored, delivered, into the inventory records.

+ Reconcile material records as needed.

+ Use a personal computer to transact all material movement using the client's Storage System and Work Order / DUT System per the client's request.

+ Run storage reports, extract data to spreadsheet, distribute to Supervisors for feedback, update spreadsheet and enter into billing system.

+ Safely perform functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines and wearing PPE as required.

+ Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.

+ Demonstrates flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer.

+ Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

1. 1 year of experience operating forklifts in an industrial environment.

2. Understanding of inventory, parts control, and/or warehousing terminology, measures, and concepts.

3. Familiarity with billing procedures related to storage process.

Additional Information:

+ This position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client's location.

+ This position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.

Physical Requirements:

+ Requires the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.

+ Requires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.

+ Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.

+ Requires the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift.

+ Requires the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.

+ Requires the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.

+ Requires the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.

+ Requires the use of a Company/Client approved utility knife.

+ Requires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.

+ Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.

+ Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.

Special Requirements:

+ Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.

+ Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

1. High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

2. Technical certification or specialized training preferred.

3. Experience safely operating fork trucks in a shop environment populated with pedestrians and material.

4. Experience operating powered lift vehicles.

5. Experience working under a structured safety program.

6. Experience operating an electronic work order system.

7. Experience operating a PC using Word and Excel.

8. Experience with the Caterpillar Enterprise Material Handling System, Work Order System, Hazardous Materials System, and crib system.

Other Attributes:

+ Must be willing to work overtime when required. May be required to work holidays and weekends.
