In a large upscale 120 bed Long Term Care (Skilled) Facility : Brookdale Riverwalk, in Bakersfield (many new weekly admits, from local hospitals with high acuity and rehab needs); with a great support systms: a CDM, to assist in nutrition care, and Kitchen Manager who oversees the meal service/dining.
We will hire a graduate, prior to passing the RD exam, with stipulations of oversight until exam is passed.
We provide extensive orientation to the company, and then to the outstanding corporate/contracted nutrition care systems. We have dietitian oversight, including myself as a Regional RD.

Your responsibilities:
* Consult with residents to evaluate nutritional needs and develop a nutrition care plan
* Document care information and review records to determine client progress and make modifications to the diet plan
* Clinically supervise residents with high risk conditions such as diabetes, obesity, etc.
* Identify the need for and developing nutritional education materials and tools to assist residents
* Ensure diet plan is consistent with regional direction
* Attend conferences, meetings, and educational programs to maintain currency in the field of nutrition
Required skills and qualifications:
* Bachelor"s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition Science, or a related field
* Current Registered Clinical Dietitian
* One-two years of experience in nutritional counseling
* Must enjoy working with the senior population
