Providing transportation to thousands of guests every day is no small task. At the Walt Disney World Resort it takes a fleet of busses, monorails, watercrafts and parking trams to make sure guests reach their destinations as efficiently as possible.

Watercaft cast members receive a starting rate of $10.20/hour.

Basic Qualifications

Responsibilities

Transportation cast members working in Watercraft have various responsibilities including piloting multi-passenger boats, loading and unloading vehicles, answering guest questions and providing exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Exhibit a positive, friendly, helpful attitude with guests/cast to maintain the show quality experience. Load and unload guests from watercraft.

* Pilot and dock boats, motor launches over specified routes.

* Ensure safety of passengers (groups from 32-120) in case of emergency.

* Assist guests with disabilities while entering and exiting watercraft.

* Turn watercraft completely around in small areas.

* Must be able to swim and feel comfortable working around deep water.

* Night driving of all boats is required with minimal lighting and visibility. Will drive in dark areas and down long canals. Must be able to visually distinguish between red and green.

* Must be able to use a radio to understand and give operational updates. There will be many vessels on the waterways operating at the same time including rentals.

* This is a very physical role including walking long distances, maneuvering around the vessel in a flexible agile manner, including bending over railings while tying a boat to a cleat.

* Will clean docks and detail clean boats will include sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, picking up trash and bug/cobweb removal.

* Will work independently for hours at a time and will need to feel comfortable taking charge in emergency situations.

* Will have limited access to restroom breaks.

* Lift gang planks/anchors weighing 50-75 pounds.

* Work in extreme temperatures and high degrees of humidity and inclement weather.
