Master's Degree
The nurse practitioner provides assessment and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interacts with patients providing counseling and routine procedures. Facilitates the practice's customer relations efforts, ensuring a high level of patient service. Works effectively as a team member. Maintains the patient's right to privacy and is kind, courteous, sympathetic, understanding, and professional with all patients and staff. Provides patient referrals and follows up on patient treatment.
Will primarily work on an inpatient observation unit. Fast paced setting with high patient turnover.
Missouri State Board of Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner and ANCC Commission on Certification required.
Minimum three years' experience as an NP, with inpatient experience. Experience using an electronic medical record is preferred. Excellent communication skills. Strong knowledge of managed care, insurance billings, CPT and ICD-10 coding. Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Word.
Primary schedule is 7 days on, 7 days off 12 hour Night shifts.
