BASIC PURPOSEAssist Legal Department attorneys with a broad range of corporate and property level legal issues. Create, coordinate, and maintain a host of corporate documents and databases. Assist other corporate departments with researching and resolving various issues.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Liquor Licenses. File renewals for existing licenses, apply for new licenses, solve entity and license related conflicts, work with local counsel to create interim beverage agreements, concession agreements or restaurant leases to explain permittee/manager or permittee/owner relationship discrepancy if applicable, coordinate with local counsel to ensure license arrangement coincides with state law, manage liquor licenses using Sharepoint database, keep track of outstanding interim beverage management agreements, check with nominee of the agreements to see status of their application and issue renewals when applicable, assist with the transition of licenses, request certificates of insurance and/or surety bonds to accompany the renewal or initial application.

Entity Management. Coordinate with outside business compliance organization to track and file annual reports with state/local governments as necessary. Create new entities as necessary and manage existing entities, including dissolving and/or withdrawing entities that no longer conduct business in qualified states, and reinstating entities that have fallen out of good standing.

Administrative.  Manage invoices from outside vendors, particularly counsel, on various projects. Maintain accurate corporate databases, particularly the liquor license database, and assist with implementation of document retention policies and migration of documents.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Attend Departmental meetings

Request Checks

Obtain Signatures and mail out materials

Assist General Counsel,Senior Corporate Counsel, and Corporate Counsel with special projects as required

Knowledge and Skills:

Education:                               Bachelor’s degree

Experience:                             1 – 2 years experience

Skills and Abilities:       Excellent written and oral communication skills; sound reasoning ability; and a general working knowledge of basic Microsoft Office products.
