Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant for a 12+ month contract opportunity in Columbus, OH with our partner, a private nonprofit applied science and technology development company.

Job Description

Our client needs administrative support to help a project team run a consortium of government and commercial members. Responsibilities include:

  • Support coordination of bi-annual meetings for consortium members, including but not limited to
  • Including but not limited to: organizing hotels, conference space, and meals
  • Help respond to questions from consortium members
  • Assist with collecting annual dues
  • Desktop production (WordPerfect) and publish/distribute of meeting minutes
  • Make updates to a published technical handbook utilizing Word Perfect (updates and edits to handbook can be extensive and require strong accuracy and attention to detail)
  • Review handbook for grammatical, spelling, and formatting errors
  • Communicate with consortium members through phone calls and email

Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5 years of extensive word processing experience (utilized for technical documentation and large reports)
  • Highly proficient in Word Perfect or Microsoft Word (Word Perfect highly preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Must have administrative office experience, be organized, and able to perform tasks quickly - producing a quality product with minimal errors.
  • Excellent spelling and grammar
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Access and SharePoint are highly preferred but not required

Additional Information

  • 12+ month contract with potential opportunity for direct hire after the trial period
  • Part time (approximately 20 hours a week)
