Receptionist

The Receptionist/Switchboard Operator greets visitors and relays incoming and inter-office calls. This position handles incoming and outgoing district mail, and provides administrative support to other departments on an as-needed basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Alerts appropriate party of visitor arrival
• Maintains a log of visitors
• Greets all visitors courteously, determines their needs, issues badges/safety glasses/lab coats, and directs them to the proper person or office
• Provides backup support for HR Coordinator as needed (labels, mailings, office work)
• Provides administrative support to other departments on an as needed basis-May be asked to work in other departments on an as needed basis
• Maintains confidentiality in work assignments
• Receives, sorts, and posts all incoming mail from U.S. Post Office, courier services, and schools. Receives all outgoing mail daily, adds postage, and sorts for delivery
• Provides clerical assistance using Microsoft Office to create documents and spreadsheets
• Provide cross-functional administrative support when time allows
