Gymnastic Instructor

The Little Gym of La Canada is a locally owned business looking for a highly
energetic and motivated individual to join an amazing team. For over 14
years, The Little Gym of La Canada has set the standard for progressive
motor-skill development, by providing children with a foundation of
confidence through non-competitive, gymnastics-based programs. Our
Parent/Child, Pre-K and Grade School classes (as well as our Birthday
Parties and Parents' Survival Nights) are all taught in a fun, safe and
nurturing environment, which encourages children to develop at their own
pace.



Position Description: 

We are looking for a gymnastic instructor to teach classes to Grade school
children (ages 6-12). This position would be responsible for learning all
aspects of our gymnastics programs for the purpose of training and leading
of other staff members. The number one responsibility is to ensure the
gymnastics program is being delivered according to company standards which
requires all instructors teaching exceptional classes as well as providing
top-rate customer service. The ideal candidate is expected to be a model to
other instructors by teaching the best classes and delivering the best
customer service. They must relate well to children, parents, and staff.
Because this person would be responsible for training other employees, one
must be able to accurately read people, develop creative training plans and
have superior communication skills. Candidate must be well-organized, have
the ability to juggle several tasks and adapt well to change. This person
must be able to assist in the promotion of our company and sell our program
at every opportunity.



Qualifications: 

Candidate must have proven performance through experience in supervision as
well as teaching or coaching children and adults in a related field,
preferably gymnastics. Background in any of the following is ideal -
gymnastics performance/coaching, physical education, child development or
education, adult education or instruction. Supervisory or management
experience is a plus!
