Cinemark is cooking! We need culinary-minded individuals to join our team. We are excited to be bringing great food to our guest, and foster a fun, high energy, fast-paced environment. As a line cook, you will be in the heart of the operation, using recipes to cook up quality food under high pressure, so strong attention to detail is important. Candidates must have a strong desire to pursue culinary in the future or prior restaurant experience. You should also possess high energy, be outgoing, and be a quality driven team player.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Bring a passion for food and an energetic and fun attitude daily.
• Prepares all required items for line in accordance with approved recipes and portion controls.
• Assists in developing and maintaining prep lists.
• Maintains the initial set-up, breakdown, sanitation and cleanliness of prep workstation and service units.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper storage of all food products including covering and marking dates on leftover products in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Implements and maintains policies and procedures to minimize food waste, theft, and ensure proper food storage, food requisitions, safety, and sanitation.
• Cleans food preparation area and equipment after each use.
• Helps conduct regular inspections of the kitchen and other outlets to ensure that all preventative maintenance, safety, sanitation, and all other standard operating policies and procedures are consistently achieved
• Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
• Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Follows company policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Available to work evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Requires regular and consistent attendance.
• Ability to communicate with all ages, genders, and personalities.
• Ability to effectively and regularly converse in and/or comprehend in English.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, and to be able to move quickly as the bulk of concession sales occur in the fifteen minutes before the start of a movie
• Requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to move, carry, push and pull heavy bulk food products and containers from remote or separate storage areas. Sometimes this must be done quickly in order to keep shelves stocked.
• Requires the ability to reach at different levels.
• Ability to obtain a health card or food handlers permit is essential (where required).
• Employees who work with alcohol are required to complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program.
