Job Summary

We are currently looking for a CNC Operator/Programmer to work 2nd Shift at our Miami production facility. This position involves the operation of a CNC machine used to drill and chamfer holes in glass panels. The operator tracks, locates, and records fabrication production on schedules provided by lead person or supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• This position involves setting up a CNC machine to drill holes, cutouts in glass panels according to work orders, fabrication sheets, and schedules
• Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines
• Read labels, sketches, system program. and be able to perform spatial visualization interpretation
• Completing daily worksheets and forms, calculating and measuring for hole size and placement, and inspecting work
• Ensure the CNC machine is maintained in good working condition
• Regular and predictable attendance, the ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job

Requirements

To be considered for a fabrication position, the following conditions must be met:

• Able to operate a CNC Machine
• Ability to prepare shop drawings and plans using AutoCAD
• Basic computer familiarity
• Read and use a tape measure
• Read and perform mathematical calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimals normally acquired through high school education or equivalency
• Read and write Basic English based on position requirements
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted
• Ability to lift,  bend, twist, walk, and reach frequently
• Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs unassisted
• Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with same climate conditions of the region (Heat, humidity, etc.)

Equipment

• Forvet machine, dolly, crane, glass cups, tape measure, pliers, glass cutter, and other various tools
