Dietitian - Advanced Practitioner - 79947QualificationsLocationThis position is located in Serra Mesa, San Diego CountyHours8-hour variable day shift, weekends as neededRequired Skills and Qualifications* Education as required for Registered Dietitians (RD) under the guidelines of the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)* Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)* An advanced certification required, such as Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) within 6 months of hire* Three years recent employment experience in clinical nutrition, preferably ICU* Excellent documentation skills with the ability to keep neat, accurate and concise records* Effective communication, oral, written and presentation skills* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required* The ability to manage multiple priorities* Experience in enteral and parenteral nutrition.* Knowledge of nutrition in the critical care settingDescriptionSummaryPrimary area of coverage is the adult medical and surgical intensive care units with responsibilities on the Nutrition and Metabolic Support Service at Sharp Memorial Hospital. The Advanced Practitioner Dietitian provides clinical nutrition leadership and expertise to patients. The Advanced Practitioner Dietitian is a mentor to other RD's and interdisciplinary staff members.The Department of Nutrition team works closely with other healthcare professionals to advise the most optimal/advantageous practices for patient care delivery to deliver a positive outcome.Sharp Memorial Hospital — the first hospital in San Diego with all private patient rooms — is dedicated to providing the highest-quality, patient-centered care and consists of 368 beds.
