The Shipping Clerk is responsible for all aspects of receiving and shipping of product between the store and our vendors, distribution centers, and other locations. The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating and maintaining all warranty claims and special ordered product.

 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

 

  • Receive, document, and organize all incoming and outgoing shipments, warranties, and special orders.
  • Control the flow of products between back-stock area and the store
  • Compare identifying information, counts, weights, or measurements of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills, invoices, orders or other records
  • Determine method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
  • Insert items into containers and affix shipping labels to shipments
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with vendors to rectify damages and/or shortages
  • Maintain filing system for all incoming/outgoing shipments, warranties, and special orders.
  • Track and follow up with overdue and expected shipments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and shipping/warehouse area.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Operation of a lift truck or hand truck to move or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving area to storage or work areas
  • Previous warehouse shipping/receiving background - preferred
  • Knowledge of Ski, Snowboard, Cycling, and Golf products – highly preferred
  • Previous tagging/picking/processing work history – preferred
  • RF handheld scanning experience – preferred
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to communicate fluently with co-workers and guests in accurate spoken and written English 
  • Basic computer skills 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; including nights, holidays and weekends
