The Crowne Plaza located in Downtown Columbus is currently seeking a Engineer to work in our busy maintenance department. The Engineer will perform general maintenance on the hotel, but not limited to guest rooms and common areas. The ideal candidate has the experience and skill set required to perform the duties required in this role, has a true focus on creating a great guest experience, and is a reliable team member who supports the overall needs of the facility. 

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Complete all work delegated to you by Chief Engineer or Lead Engineer
  • Perform general maintenance.
  • Perform guestroom and public space preventative maintenance.
  • Respond to and repair any guest or hotel department trouble calls.
  • Complete all work orders that are assigned by any department.
  • Troubleshoot/repair electrical systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot/repair restaurant equipment.
  • Troubleshoot/repair HVAC equipment.
  • Experience in carpentry, drywall, painting and wall vinyl installation and repair.
  • Troubleshoot/repair laundry equipment.
  • Complete daily walk through of property.
  • Complete all assigned life safety tests.
  • Other task as assigned by management.

Requirements

 

  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must have good trouble-shooting skills.
  • Well organized with strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year engineering experience preferably in a hotel setting.
  • Universal EPA certified required.
