The Opportunity

The Hotel Maintenance Technician carries out preventive and corrective maintenance activities on hotel property, equipment and tools.

Position Details

This is a Part Time/Temporary position; must be available Holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Changes light bulbs, may replace fixtures, and similar minor electrical tasks.
• Opens clogged drains, fixes leaks, and performs other simple plumbing jobs.
• Completes touch-up painting and repaints rooms as required.
• Performs simple carpentry tasks, such as installing shelves, hooks, or closet rods.
• Maintains tools and equipment in working order; keeps maintenance room in neat condition.
• Assists in snow shoveling when needed.
• Assists with loading or unloading trucks and moving furniture when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of one year previous experience in general maintenance/repair for commercial  facility required.  Must have general knowledge of the use of simple equipment used in building trades. Ability to read simple instructions and follow simple diagrams. Ability to perform simple tasks independently after being given specific instructions.
