Position Description

Has direct supervision for approximately 28 FTEs comprised of RNs, LVNs, PVTs (Peripheral Vascular Technologists} and Registered Sonographers as well as numerous ancillary support staff. Significant and comprehensive operational authority will be assigned to thereby necessitating extensive operational experience in high patient volume clinical setting.

Minimum Job Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree and ARDMS

Minimum Experience: Five (5) years leadership experience

Position Responsibilities

1. Manages and Directs the daily operation of several sub-departments overseeing staffing, and technical/administrative operations and customer services.

2. Manages and Coordinates multidisciplinary FTEs at various position levels assuring uniformity of care, departmental efficiencies and productivity.

3. Implements, educates and helps direct the departmental TQL plan assuring customer satisfaction and quality standards.

4. Responsible for budget development, monitoring, charge capture, outpatient-billing practices, complete physician test interpretation schedules and other highly responsible duties.

5. Performs Human Resource duties including hiring, corrective action, retention and selection of personnel.

6. Responsible for conducting performance appraisals

7. May be asked to perform clinical Functions in any of the areas managed.

8. Coordinates and conducts general staff meetings.

9. Responsible for full administrative call responsibility as well as clinical call.

10. Maintains clinical competency through continuing education in the trends and development of cardiology, and personnel mgmt.

11. Oversees, Directs and monitors several internal committee in a shared leadership format.

12. Responsible for preparing certain areas of the budget

13. Assist with outreach, marketing and physician relation efforts.

14. Oversees and Directs research protocols, Oversees computer operations and patient billing.

15. Acts as resource person during emergency situations.

16. Will frequently interact with nurse and other department managers and supervisors as needed to insure proper participation with operating protocols and will frequently be involved with interdepartmental projects.
