Medical Billing

Cleveland, OH Company on the west-side has a full-time contract-to-hire Medical Billing position available immediately. Hours are 8am-4:30pm, M-F; salary is $12-14 an hour.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring that Authorization/C9/Medco/WFR/unbilled report issues are processed in terms of timely creation, submission, verification and registration, follow up and resolution with MCO/TPAs via emails, in bound faxing, work ques referral reports.
Ensure Med-cos are reconciled to authorizations in drawer.
Work assigned new business 21 plus days out for reports and work ques. Staff messages are two days.
Achieve minimum goal of 35 accounts worked daily.
Seek out new positive outcomes and innovative solutions to accomplish objectives when the normal ways of meeting client objectives are not working.
Achieve and exceed assigned monthly goals.
Communicate with Management Team on a regular basis.
Provide weekly updates via email regarding work accomplished, backlog and any outstanding issues prohibitive to timely completion of work including but not limited to IT issues.
Document all appropriate information in all required systems as directed by client.
Requirements:
High School diploma, GED, Completion of Medical Billing Program. 3-5 years experience in medical billing or equivalent work experience in a related field.
Recent Bureau of Workers Compensation experience.
Knowledge of health insurance billing practices, Medical Terminology, ICD-9 and CPT codes, advanced knowledge of UB04 and HCFA1500; familiarity with HIPAA guidelines as well as various insurance plans.
Solid written and oral communication skills; communicating via phone and computer; strong computer skills, minimum 45 words per minute
Sitting for an extended period of time; standing and walking for periods of time.
Self motivated and goal oriented; ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
