Paid Intership - Part-time

Our Employment Placement Services assist youth, adults, seniors, and veterans in conducting successful job opportunities. We want our customers to find their passion and purpose through employment. Our Employment Placement Specialists provide the guidance young adults and adults with disabilities, aging individuals and veterans may need to conduct efficient and successful job searches.

This is an ideal opportunity for a flexible and effective communicator to work with the BCS Team supporting students and adults with disabilities in the workplace.

We are looking for local students in the Sarasota and Bradenton area.

You will have experience of working with students and adults in assisting them to work independently within paid or unpaid employment.  You will also work closely with employers to assist with the adaption of safe working environments and promote health and safety awareness in the workplace.
The position will also involve interviewing prospective adults and students, matching and placing them with prospective employers.  You will assist the Supported Internship Manager in liaising with employers, agencies, and parents, as well as carrying out regular assessments with students to embed action planning into their training and development.
A flexible team member, as well as an understanding of the challenges faced by young people and of the barriers to learning, are essential.

You will be qualified to at least grade C or above in Maths and English, good IT and organization skills and a positive and customer orientated approach. You must be in possession of a full driving license and pass a federal background screen.
