Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking an Associate Accountant for a 6+ month contract opportunity in Richmond, VA with our partner, one of the nation's largest producers and transporters of energy.

Job Description

  • Assists in the day-to-day maintenance of complete and accurate general ledger and in preparing basic financial reports.
  • Under direct supervision and following prescribed procedures, conducts or assists in documentation of simple accounting projects.
  • Assists in day-to-day maintenance of standardized reports.
  • Performs assignments designed to develop work knowledge, skills and abilities requiring application of policies, procedures, techniques and other criteria in carrying out all aspects of the job
  • Performs routine work assignments but over time will demonstrate the ability to perform more difficult work assignments
  • Works under established policies and procedures to meet set schedules and system or program requirements continues to develop the knowledge, skills and abilities to reach a higher level of proficiency and work complexity.

Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor degree preferred.
  • 0 - 2 years experience. Requires general knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.

Additional Information

  • This is a 6+ month contract assignment.
  • The hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.
