Temporary Full-Time Traveling Merchandiser Project Manager

This is a Traveling Merchandiser Project Manager job assignment that will consist of fixturing a new store. The job assignment is long term and runs from April through November/December timeframe. The Merchandiser will work a rotating schedule with 2 weeks on and then 1 week off. The works week will involve working up to 80-90 hours per week with overtime pay for all hours worked greater than 40 hours in a work week. The job site location will vary from week to week and may be across multiple states. For reps not in close proximity to the job site, hotel accommodations will be provided. Reliable transportation will be required to be considered for this assignment. Travel incentive will be paid as follows: -When working locally, 40 cents per mile to the job site each day -When working remotely and staying at a hotel, 40 cents per mile to the first job site and from the last job site each week The Traveling Merchandiser Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire project of fixturing the new store. The Traveling Merchandiser Project Manager will ensure the total project is complete each week within the 7-day timeframe with the client project team. This is a day by day detailed process that includes setting, stocking and opening a new store in the 7-day timeframe. The Traveling Merchandiser Project Manager will make sure that everything gets installed properly and the that client staff is productive in stocking new gondolas. The Traveling Merchandiser Project Manager will be responsible for the following: -Verifying that employees have been scheduled to the process for the project -Verifying that the store drawing is accurate -Measuring the length/depth of the sales floor and verify it to the drawing -Store drawing measurements -Verifying the wall measurements on the Dcor Map to ensure no obstacles -Reporting all issues noted during prep visit -Reporting any shortage of employees so operations to resolve employee shortage
Requirements: Some equipment will be required for this position. The Traveling Merchandiser Project Manager will need the following: -Basic set of tools -Camera or good camera phone -Laptop with Excel for sending in reports Training will be required for this job assignment. The client will conduct both a phone and a face-to-face interview for candidates. Candidates must be experienced in merchandising and leading merchandising assignments to be considered., Some equipment will be required for this position.
