About this job

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Primary liaison between G4S and Client's senior management; oversee customer relations, ensure Physical Security Surveys and post orders are updated regularly, and review disciplinary actions for consistency and propriety
  • General operations management; provide supervision to Shift Supervisors and Security Officers (e.g., implement standard security operations at the site, and ensure compliance through supervision
  • General training management; ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met; quality assurance and contract compliance
  • General human resources management (indirect); coordinate with Human Resources personnel on recruiting efforts
  • Scheduling; maintain overtime to a preset requirement designated by G4S

Requirements

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass any state required training or other qualification for licensing
  • Must be able to pass a state licensing test for driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
  • Must possess a current and valid Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Security Officer License issued by the State of California

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Minimum of one (1) year of verifiable and successful supervisory/management experience in a protective service field (e.g., military, corrections, law enforcement, private security, loss prevention, etc.)
  • Prior experience working with closed circuit television and alarm systems
  • Prior work experience with Microsoft Office 2010 or later versions; to include Word, Access, Excel spreadsheets and Outlook

Other

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Environment: Office; minimal to no work in extreme temperatures is expected
