ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Follow all safety rules.
  • Operate according to established DOP's, SOP's and SOF's.

1.Fill out and initial batch sheets completely.

2.Label and weigh various containers based on Resource Codes.

  • Dismantle & Assemble simple equipment for use or cleaning such as cuno filters, grinders, socks, blender covers, etc.
  • Housekeeping - maintain a clean, neat and well organized operation.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Practice good communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • Operate a forklift in a safe manner
  • Drop presses and clean press plates as required.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Skills
  • Basic math.
  • Operation of a scale.
  • Computer (Keyboard and navigation).
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions.
  • Ability to read and understand temperature recorder charts for simple equipment such as dry houses.

 

  • Physical Requirements

Must be able to:

  1. Stand for 6-8 hours per day.
  2. Lift 55# bags from ground level to a height of 40 inches when required.
  3. Climb a 4 -5 rung vertical ladder, to a catwalk, on an occasional basis for dropping presses.
  4. Be able to bend and reach approximately 2 feet while dropping presses.
  5. Climb stairs (17-18 steps) a minimum of 6 times per day.
  6. Wear basic PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes and long sleeves) and job related PPE when necessary (dust masks, full face respirator and a full body acid suit and goggles).
  7. Rim roll containers with less gross weights of less than 200#.
  8. Install and remove charging chutes, on reactors.

a.Chute weighs approximately 120# and is approximately 30" above the floor.

  1. Position 2 portable conveyors under a filter press.  This is a one person operation and could be

              done on a daily basis. 

  1. Position portable tray dryer racks to a processing tank by means of pushing.
  2. Work in areas where the temperature could exceed 100 F.
  3. Bend to fill 5 gallon pails with product.
