Planes 'n Trains is a state licensed Large Family Child Care. We are delighted to announce our new facility located conveniently a half mile from Highway 101 off Donovan exit on Mesa View Lane in Santa Maria, CA 93454.  Business Hours: Monday-Friday 6:30 A.M. - 5:15 P.M. Currently accepting resumes and conducting interviews for several part-time positions including early child education student internships & temp-to-hire. Position Requirements: -Experienced with infants and toddlers in an educational setting *Will provide training for the right candidate, including Early Child Education majors on an internship basis, inquire for further information.  RESPONSIBILITIES Main Activities - Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in the program - Provide nutritious snacks and lunches - Ensure equipment and the facility are clean, well maintained and safe at all times - Be familiar with emergency procedures - Ensure children are supervised at all times - Establish routines and provide positive guidance - Clearly and effectively communicate in a manner that children understand Our philosophy follows that each child is a unique and special individual who should be allowed to grow and develop at their own pace. Following a daily schedule helps children feel secure because they can depend on a consistent routine and predict the events of each day. Planes 'n Trains believes play-based learning is the most appropriate method of learning for children. New concepts, improved skills and enhanced comprehension come to children though play. While playing, children learn to originate and organize ideas, become more flexible in problem solving, and develop longer attention spans. These provider-directed experiences are based on a particular skill we are working on or a theme we are exploring, and may include activities in art, music, math, science, social studies, literature, or large muscle movement.
