About this job
Automation Personnel Services, North Houston Office, has several immediate openings for Production Operator. This is a Temp-to-Hire position located in the Willowbrook area.
Local Production Company located in North Houston is now hiring Full-Time, Temp to Hire, Production Operator Candidates must be available to work either First or Second Shifts.
Duties include but not limited to:
Read, Understand and follow through with each work order
Pull the appropriate material for a work order and ensure that there is stock available
Blending mix powders, pigments and solvents according to the recipes
Set up and monitor the extrusion line to extrude the powders and create the plastic films with the right dimensions. Thickness and mechanical properties
Set up and monitor the slitter to cut the films to the right dimensions and spool settings
Requirements:
Drug test and background screens are required.
Dependability and punctuality
Basic facility with technical data and numbers
Ability to read a tape measurer or a caliper
Attention to detail
Basic computer skills
Capacity to understand and follow technical work instructions and work orders in English
Ideal Candidates will have the following skills:
Inclination for Mechanics and problem-solving
Basic Knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP and Excel
Basic Knowledge in weight measurements
Background in small companies with high quality standards or in the plastics industry
