Administrative clerical position obtaining information and recording date into client records for WIC program eligibility; calculating income for eligibility determination; Issuance of WIC benefits according to regulations and provision of nutrition education interactive session; maintaining records, files, storage supplies in order; outreach in community to promote WIC enrollment. Computer skills, productivity in provision of client services for clinic flow; provision of excellent customer service and problem-solving; positive interpersonal relationships. Promotes good customer service to clients displaying courtesy and respect while expediting their visit to reduce wait time; provides program information to WIC applicants by phone and in person; interviews clients to determine WIC income eligibility. Collects client demographic data and obtains all necessary records for documentation. Explains WIC program eligibility and application procedures. Follows notification of ineligibility procedures when applicable. Registers and maintains client records in the WIC Florida Wise system computer files and records. Completes WIC EBT issuance and income eligibility for clients according to required procedures. Maintains EBT cards, VOC/ID cards and inventory records separately and securely. Explains WIC EBT redemption procedures and the appointment policy to clients. Documents client nutrition education in computer accurately. Completes the second nutrition contact for issuance appointments. Documents client refusal of nutrition education in the WIC Florida Wise system. Successfully completes the Florida Nutrition Training Modules as required for the 2nd nutrition contacts completion. Distributes nutrition questionnaires and enters data in computer system. Performs duties utilizing a teamwork approach to assure program objectives are coordinated with other staff to achieve desired results. Cultivates positive work relationships with co-workers; communicates key information to supervisor and co-workers for efficient operations. Maintains client confidentiality and security in accordance to DOHP50-10-10 Information Security & Privacy Policy Confidential Information. Employee arrives to work on time and is ready for client services at the start of the business day. Provides referral information on Health Dept. services, food resources, and other services. Coordinate with the Immunization Program and Healthy Start to assure client notification of required health referrals via utilization of the WIC computers. Promptly answers the telephone, schedules client appointments, reschedules and/or follows up missed appointments by phone or mail. Makes reminder phone calls for appointments. Assists in WIC certification and issuance clinics in other county locations. Prepares necessary EBT issuance supplies, record materials & office supplies. Completes the measurement of height and weight for clients according to CDC approved guidelines. Completes the Hemoglobin screening test utilizing Universal Precautions and following all OSHA guidelines. Calibrates the Hemocue machine and maintains calibration logs. Completes reports as assigned. Provides referral information on Health Dept. services, food resources, and other services. Reviews client files on a regular basis and maintains WIC records according to WIC retention schedules. Prepares and records for storage according to procedures. Stores all issuance supplies and inventory records securely. Completes employee activity records, timesheets, travel, and other reports according to procedures. Participates in customer service, voter registration, confidentiality, OSHA, civil rights, hematology, and all other required training's. Performs other duties as assigned.
