bmk Engineering is recruiting for a part-time position, 25 to 30 hours per week. Our core office hours are 8 to 5, Monday through Friday. We are seeking support 3-5 hours daily during our core business hours. This position that has full-time, long-term employment possibilities. Must have the ability to pass a background investigation and obtain a security clearance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Primary duties will include tasks related to the bidding, pricing, award, and execution of Construction and Engineering Projects. You will be working in conjunction with Project Managers & Engineers to perform the following at an independent level, with minimal oversight duties:
- Create, organize and maintain files
- Participating in the process for pricing, purchase orders
- Preparation of pre-construction submittals, transmittal documents, sample products and materials, submittal packages for project managers, contracting officers, architects and design engineers.
- Coordinate material/equipment deliveries as needed to our warehouse
- Work with organize electronic files and folders of contract and construction documents. Maintain orderly structure for streams of documents, correspondence, forms, plans, reports, and a wide array of communications, requests for information (RFI),
- Prepare professional-looking binders, covers, dividers, tabs, with orderly organization for distribution to customer, project managers, or contracting officials.
- Package and process outgoing overnight items, i.e. Federal Express, UPS, etc., to meet client and vendor deadlines
Qualifications
- 1 year of direct experience performing administrative support services at the corporate level.
Experience working in a Construction or Engineering environment is a plus!
- Initiative and self-direction for starting, researching, and completing tasks independently, and developing systems of order and efficiency.
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of precision on detailed work.
- High sense of urgency to complete assigned tasks.
- Strong accountability for delivery of promised actions and a reputation for prompt follow-up.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
